These terms govern your use of horizonrp.net and your participation in Horizon Studios' websites, alpha playtests, and community services. By using the site or registering for a playtest, you agree to these terms.

Use of the site

You may use this site for lawful, personal purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt the site, access systems you are not authorized to access, scrape it at a rate that affects service, or use it to infringe the rights of others.

Alpha and playtest terms

• Alpha access is invitation-only, free, and subject to eligibility and capacity.
• Alpha builds are unfinished, may contain bugs, and may change or be discontinued at any time.
• Progress, items, and progression may be wiped between waves and at launch.
• The first alpha wave is under confidentiality. You may not share screenshots, video, streams, or details unless we explicitly permit it in writing.
• You must not sell, transfer, or purchase alpha access. Any such offer is unauthorized.
• We may remove any participant from a playtest at our discretion, including for harassment, leaks, or violations of these terms.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, artwork, logos, characters, game assets, software, and the VxEngine name and mark — is owned by Horizon Studios, LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except as allowed by the press kit guidelines or applicable law.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use them to improve our games and services, without compensation or attribution. Do not send us confidential information or ideas you expect to be compensated for.

Third-party links and services

Our site links to third-party services such as Steam, Discord, and social media. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

The site and any alpha builds are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any game will release on a particular date.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Horizon Studios, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or participation in a playtest. Our total liability will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
